Now for those of you who don't live here or do and, gasp!, have never heard of the stuff, here's a quick run-down: A local chain restaurant called Arctic Circle claims to have invented Fry Sauce in 1948. It's typically a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise, but sometimes people/restaurants
add spices, pickles, a dash of mustard, or a little Thousand Island dressing, but however it's made, it's usually very delicious and the perfect accompaniment to fries, among many other things. Because of it's popularity here in Utah, many restaurants in states surrounding Utah now serve Fry Sauce. It's such a Utah original, that during the 2002 Winter Olympics, they made a Fry Sauce pin (which we happen to own, along with the Green Jello with shredded carrots pin - another Utah original). For years, when we wanted Fry Sauce, we had to make up our own little batch, that is, until Some Dude put some of that there Fry Sauce in a bottle and made my life so much easier. And flavorful.

So my favorite thing #2 is Some Dude's Fry Sauce. Available at fine retailers (like the Wal-Marts) everywhere (in Utah at least). Pick some up to make your fries, burgers, tots, chicken nuggets, etc, that much better! You won't regret it. But don't hate me if your thighs double in size. Consider this fair warning.

That is something we desperately miss from Utah. When we visited in December, we brought home two bottles of "Some Dudes Fry Sauce". We're half way through the second bottle, so somebody better come visit us soon and bring us more. :)
I love Fry Sauce...and of course Chris hates it! Virginian! He doesn't know what's good! Training Table's is my favorite!
YUMMM! One of my faves too. And guess what!!! It's Gluten Free! WOOHOO!
I've seen people mix mayo and ketchup and dip their fries in it, but I had no idea it was a real "sauce"! How interesting. I will look for this at the Wal-Marts ;) Missourians love to add an s to end of everything, also.
Shannon - Utahan's done typically add a "s" to things, I stole "the Wal-Marts" from The Pioneer Woman.
I love fry sauce, but Some Dude's isn't my fave. I adore the stuff from any Apollo Burger AND the fry sauce from AB's is yummo! It is a little sweet, so I just can't stop!
Yes, Anjie, Apollo Burger has the best Fry Sauce, but they don't sell it.
I'm sure I'm the only person who has ever lived in Utah only to move away who did not have fry sauce. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to stick with regular old ketchup.
I'm with Natalee, Training Table's is the best next to my own. I don't like "Some Dudes", it's just not right. I mix Ketchup, Mayo and Bullseye BBQ sauce...try it, it's delicious!
on a side note...when we first moved to AZ, totally out of habit I asked for extra fry sauce at Jack in the Box, the guy was all, "what sauce?"...LOL Jory laughed at me. I responded with "We're not in Pootah anymore Toto."
